This spaceship-looking, truck bed-mounted contraption is actually a new truck bed camper called the Camp365 T- Model. It’s a derivative of Camp365’s towable campers, which debuted in 2018 — the key feature of which is the patented folding-up system that turns the compact unit into a large living space.
All Camp365 products are made in its Iowa and Minnesota factories. They are designed specifically to create maximum interior space while remaining lightweight and aerodynamic, in order to maximize vehicle range.

We showed you early renders of the Camp365 T-Model about a year and a half ago. Now, it’s finally come to market in a refined package ready for adventure.
Camp365 T-Model

At around 800 pounds, and with a narrow profile when in transport mode, the Camp365 T-Model truck camper works in a wide range of trucks. Just about any truck with a 41″+ truck bed will haul this thing, but it’s best suited for at least a half-ton full-size pickup.

The company says it will work with mid-sized trucks, but as usual, I’m highly leery of that when the camper itself is nearly the payload capacity of the vehicle, leaving nearly zero capacity for people, fuel, water, gear, etc.
Camp365 also says the T-Model will work well with the Lightning, Cybertruck, and R1T electric trucks — especially so with custom Camp365 camper nose cones that have been developed for each.

Once at the campsite, the T-Model can be unfolded and fully set up in just a few minutes by one person. The interior space is impressive and completely configurable, giving you tons of options for how to utilize the space. It gives you an out-of-the-weather place to sleep, cook, work, work out, do yoga, throw a party, etc.
Easy to Transport & Store

This truck camper should also be quite quick and easy to remove from your truck, especially with the optional camper jacks. This makes it easy to use the truck for work things all week and then go camping on the weekends.
It also makes it easy to leave the camper set up at a remote campsite — a cabin, if you will — and take the truck on more serious off-road terrain without having to haul the camper around.
The T-Model should also fit in most garages, even when mounted in the truck bed. When packed up and off the truck, it is only about 4 feet wide and can be tucked into a corner of your garage. This makes storage simple, secure, and much easier than traditional truck campers.

Interior Space

The inside of the Camp365 T-Model can be configured in a wide range of ways. It can be ordered from the factory with up to two queen beds or up to two sets of bunk beds. A folding couch is even an option. There is also a folding dinette table attached to the wall to quickly and easily create a working surface.
Cooking
The T-Model can be optioned with a Skotti Grill Bundle for cooking with a variety of fuels and even a GoSun Solar hybrid oven. No one should go hungry when camping with this setup.
There is a sliding drawer that comes out the rear of the camper, which can be accessed from inside and outside the camper, that can be fitted with up to two 21QT fridge/freezers or a 35QT fridge/freezer.

Water
All water systems in the T-Model come at additional costs. If you want a sink and toilet, that will cost you $425. You can choose a composting toilet or a marine cassette toilet. The sink is a portable setup that can be used inside and out and includes a faucet, shower wand, and mirror.
If you want big water tanks (24 gallons total) and hot water, you’ll want a $2,749 package. The two water tanks are integrated under the floor, and can be set up as all fresh or one fresh and one gray water. They also have large openings allowing them to be used as coolers for your favorite beverage and/or to be easily kept clean.
Hot water in this setup comes via a Kakadoo portable shower system, which is battery-powered. Showering can be done outside in a Kakadoo shower tent or inside in a custom setup with folding basin and curtains that hang from the ceiling.
Because everything is so modular, you can also just build out your own water and toilet systems to best fit your camper usage.

Powered Up
No modern camper would be complete without a robust power system. The Camp365 T-Model is designed to work with an EcoFlow Delta Power Station with 1,024Wh, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, which is scalable to over 5,000Wh. This can be charged up with shore power, the truck’s alternator, and solar. It comes with a portable, lightweight, and folding suitcase panel system with 220W of solar.
The power system is Starlink internet-ready and comes with six AC outlets, two DC, two USB-A, and two USB-C outlets to power all your portable devices. The camper is also equipped with dimmable LED cabin lights.

Climate Control
Controlling the climate inside the camper is as easy as utilizing the large screened windows for cross-ventilation and relying on the “patented dual-layer air gap insulation for high R-Value with six folding closed cell foam cabin walls.” Or, going high-tech and getting the optional Eco Flow Wave 2 electric heat (6,100 BTU) and air conditioner (5,100 BTU).
The Camp365 T-Model also has two side awnings built into the tent. This allows you to have the windows open and keep the rain and sun out.

Rad Options
One of the key included accessories on the Camp365 T-Model Founders Series is a burly but lightweight pull-out staircase with railing. This setup makes entering and exiting the camper so much easier for all ages and abilities.
The very cool Camp365 toy racks allow for carrying bulky adventure sports toys — like kayaks, bikes, etc. — along the sides of the camper when traveling. This cuts down on overall height on the road and wind resistance.
Hammocks can also be hung outside under the sides of the deployed camper, next to the sides of the truck, for naps in the shade.

Camp365 T-Model: Availability & Pricing
The first deliveries of the T-Model have just begun. If you want one, all it takes is a $100 fully refundable reservation to get in line, with a 2-3-month production time to wait to get your own camper.
While the camper starts at $25,000, that does not include the power pack, solar, camper jacks, stairs/railing, and a few other things that come in the $26,950 Founders Series package. For sure, the Founders Series option is a great value.
If you have an electric truck you’ll likely also want to option your Camp365 T-Model with a front Aero Cap. These custom wind deflectors should help retain vehicle range, and cost just $695.
