From cyclists to public officials to tribal leaders: Washington State residents show their support for the expanded Olympic Discovery Trail.
The latest PSA for Washington’s trail system serves up a large helping of community advocacy and the transformative power of the outdoors.
Trail builders have made significant progress in creating a seamless, 138-mile walking and biking trail across the Olympic Peninsula. The latest video from Rails-to-Trails Conservancy offers a montage of local voices describing what this trail means.
Once finished, the trail will be a “key segment” of the developing 3,700-mile Great American Rail-Trail. The planned trail will cover 3,700 miles between Washington, D.C., and Washington State. With 2,000 completed miles, it’s already well on its way.
