Lisa Franks lost the use of her legs at the age of 14, but the paralympic athlete insisted on charging ahead with gusto. Within a decade, Franks’ grit and adamance had turned her into a three-time paralympian, winner of six gold paralympic medals, and STEM degree holder.
These days, the self-proclaimed nerd lives nomad-style so she can surf and mountain bike all year round.
