A Word From Nick Schoeps

I was born an engineer, playing with Legos and sketching spaceships. Writing about the tech side of outdoor adventure and vehicles scratches my creative itch when I need a break from engineering.

I began with technical writing and presenting at industry events. In recent years, I’ve leaned on the creative side of writing including blog posts for my company, Photon Marine, and writing news and gear reviews for GearJunkie and Autowise.

My personal interests include Running, Cycling, Surfing, Skiing, Kite sports, Sailing, Paddlesports, Travel, Motorcycle riding, Overland & Off-road Travel, Motorsports, and Cooking.
