Power Pedals — Garmin was not short on the innovation. The brand’s Interbike booth included its new action camera (the VIRB), a new Forerunner watch line, as well as a half-dozen additional gadgets. We were most impressed with the Vector pedals.
Made for road riders who take their stats seriously, the pedals have accelerometers and other sensors inside the spindle made to measure watts, right and left leg power, cadence, and more. A wireless connection via the ANT+ protocol lets riders view power meter readings on a handlebar-mounted unit or a watch face. No external sensors or parts are required. $1,699.99.
