Drink in the dystopia with Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll, Nico Favresse, and friends as they forage for scant resources in this wacky, Petzl-produced film.

It’s tough to admit the possibility that the apocalypse is indeed approaching and stay positive at the same time.

If anybody can do it, it’s musical big-waller Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll and his cohort of colorful climber comrades. Petzl’s “Consequences” finds him, Nico Favresse, Charlotte Durif, and Cedric Lachat in top form — regardless of the state of the near-future dystopia their characters inhabit.

I will defer the job of determining whether “Consequences” is more parts caution or more parts caper. But whether or not you think the world’s first tick mark triggered a butterfly effect that will kill it, it’s pretty fun to watch Favresse actually eat a bug.

At least, more fun than doing it for survival would be.
