2014 Sochi Winter Olympics tickets are on sale now

Want to see the gold medal match of men’s hockey at the 2014 Olympics? Time to pull out your pocketbook! It’s going to cost you about $1,234 per ticket.

Tickets for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics (February 7 – 23) will be available for purchase on the Sochi 2014 website, Ticket Box Offices at the sports venues, and though CoSport, which is the only authorized Olympic Games reseller for the U.S. and Canada.

While the gold-medal hockey game is obviously a big draw in Russia, not all of the tickets are so expensive as the über-popular events, with tickets starting at about $15 for some of the sliding sports in the mountains.

This souvenir ticket is available to spectators who buy online at the Official Sochi Olympic Games website

According to Russian news outlet RiaNovosti, “Nearly half of all tickets available cost 3,000 Rubles ($99 USD) or less.”

If you happen to be in Russia and just want to get a taste of the Olympic atmosphere, you can pay $6 for entry into Olympic Park without competition access.

Tickets have been on sale since last February, so buy yours fast. The most popular events and those that won’t cost your first-born sell out quickly. The full schedule and additional details are available at the Official Sochi Olympic Games site.
