What’s better than a sweepstakes for a free trip to Yosemite National Park and a luxury stay once you’re there? Through MTN Dew’s National Parks Week sweepstakes, people have the chance to make that a reality and win a few other luxury runner-up experiences.

National Park Week is April 20-28, 2024, and MTN DEW is giving away a series of summer excursions to a handful of lucky winners. It’s part of the company’s publicity campaign for its MTN DEW Outdoor Gear (MD-OG) rewards program. GearJunkie covered MD-OG recently, a program offering free outdoor gear to those who rack up enough points by drinking — or at least buying — a mountain of MTN Dew.

But there’s no Dew-drinking required for the National Parks Week sweepstakes. It merely requires participants to sign up with an email address during National Parks Week. Then the Yosemite trip winner will be chosen on April 29. The brand is also collaborating with several Vail Resorts destinations for its runner-up prizes to ensure a luxury experience for all the lucky winners.

But only one will receive the grand prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to Yosemite National Park with a guest and a stay at Tenaya Resort from July 14 to 18 — a trip valued at over $10,000.

Yosemite Sweepstakes Grand Prize Stay

The winner of the Yosemite Grand Prize and their plus one will have all airfare and travel paid for. They’ll stay in a two-person-occupancy room, and receive a $500 food and beverage credit, spa treatments, up to $500 per person for onsite activities booked by the resort, transportation to and from the airport and resort, a guided tour of Yosemite, a fishing excursion in Yosemite, a $700 check, and a bag of MD-OG schwag.

The contest is open to legal residents of the U.S., age 18 and older (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska). Participants can enter the contest on the MD-OG Excursions website.

Three More Opportunities to Win

If you miss out on the Yosemite grand prize, there are still more chances to win. MTN Dew is giving away three other all-expenses-paid trips to Beaver Creek, Colo., Seven Springs, Penn., and Vail, Colo. Winners will enjoy stays at some of Vail Resorts’ luxury lodges and hotels.

All three runner-up prizes include similar benefits for winners. All winners will have airfare and travel covered, three nights in a double occupancy room, two one-day mountain access passes, $300 food and beverage vouchers, $500 gift cards with excursion guide companies, a $1,200 check, and MD-OG schwag bags.

Unlike the Yosemite trip, two winners will be chosen for each of those three runner-up experiences, and each will be allowed to bring a guest. The runner-up prize winners also have restrictions on when they can book their stays, as outlined in the sweepstakes rules. Each sweepstakes has a different entry period spaced throughout the summer, with all trips completed before October 1.
