Massage therapists are hard to find in the forest. For Jurek, this machine helped him speed recovery in ways similar to those of an experienced therapist.
The pneumatic compression recovery system uses air-filled chambers to create targeted compression in a graduated way up and down the leg.
“You can target certain areas. It’s the way I got a massage on the trail. When I had time, I would use the system. You can use these after a big day and it basically makes your legs feel so much better in the morning. It speeds up recovery,” he said.
