A Word from Adam Ruggiero
I vowed never to work in a cubicle and discovered early on I loved writing and playing outdoors. There are very few professions that satisfy all three of those facets — I’ll be damned if I don’t know how good I have it.
I began working on a sports talk radio show in Minnesota (KFAN) and soon after covered auto racing for an upstart website. When those didn’t pan out, I quit my jobs and bummed around Hawaii and Puerto Rico for a year. When I came back, I decided to write until someone gave me a shot.
My personal interests include fetch, podcasting, event hosting and video talent, coffee, cycling, ball sports of all kinds, boxing, farming, auto racing, and any manual trade.
The fan vote is open for Moosejaw’s second-annual Outdoor Accelerator, a competition aimed at boosting startup companies and increasing diversity and representation within the industry.
